First off, I'd like to welcome you to KevinRamey.com. We've had this project on our 'to do' list for
quite a while now, and we're really excited to have it up and running!

It's hard to believe I began racing over 20 years ago. There are a lot of pictures and memories
from the early days to the present. So strap yourself in for the ride. . .

At age 15 I began my
rookie season driving the
family owned # MEE2
economy late model at
Devil's Bowl Speedway
in Mesquite and 85
Speedway in Ennis, Tx.

I finished 5th in the final
point standings at The
Devil's Bowl Speedway
racing against 31 other
drivers.

I raced against 64 drivers at 85 Speedway, finished 3rd in the final point standings and bringing
home two trophies for "Rookie Of The Year" and a trophy for "1985 Favorite Driver of the Year,"
which was voted on by the racing fans.

1986 found myself driving the family owned  # MEE2 economy late model finishing 7th in the final
point standings at 85 Speedway in Ennis, Tx. I raced a few events at now defunct Buffalo Park
Raceway in Grand Prairie, Tx.

In 1987 I decided to take the year off and go fishing. But that didn't last too long . . .

1988 saw the beginning of a
long time friendship with
Chris Archer and Chris
Archer Motorsports.

Chris and I teamed up and I
drove the #21 D.I.R.T. South
Late Model and eventually
clenched the Championship
at Devil's Bowl Speedway.

We chalked up 20 A-Feature
wins at Cowtown Speedway in
Kennedale, Devil's Bowl
Speedway and 85 Speedway.

In 1989 piloted the #1 ride
with Chris Archer Motorsports
at The Devil's Bowl Speedway,
on Friday nights and the
#MEE2 family owned D.I.R.T.
South Late Model at 85
Speedway on Saturday nights.

About mid season I started
driving the family owned
#21 Limited Modified at
North Texas Motor Speedway
in Royce City, Tx.

In 1990 I hooked back up with
Chris Archer Motorsports
driving the #4 D.I.R.T. South
Late Model. We ended the year
with 18 A-Feature wins at the
area tracks we competed at.

In 1991, while driving for
Chris Archer Motorsports,
I piloted the # 99 D.I.R.T.
South Late Model to 30
A-Feature wins at Cowtown
Speedway, Devil's Bowl and
the Championship in points
at The Devil's Bowl.

That was quite the season!

At the end of the 1991 season
Chris Archer Motorsports
sold the #99 D.I.R.T. South
Late Model to Performance
Auto Supply and I went on to
win the Points Championship
at Thunderbird Speedway in
Crandall Tx.

Also in 1992, I finished 2nd
place in the final points
standing at The Devil's Bowl
Speedway.

A highlight in the '92 season
was the NASCAR Race of
Champions when Dale Jarrett
drove the #99 ride in an
exhibition race with other
NASCAR champions such as
Ernie Irvan, Harry Gant, Terry
Labonte, and Michael Waltrip.

Here's a group picture of us
all together after the event:
1993 marked beginning of 'the
modern era' in racing for me.

Although I was back with Chris
Archer Motorsports, I was now
driving the #99 Sprint Car at
weekly events at The Devil's
Bowl and area 360 Sprint
Series events. I finished third
in the points standings.

I won my first sprint car
A-Feature on the 4th night out
at Devil's Bowl. Pictured here,
I'm being interviewed by Pete
'The Greek' Horonas.

. . .and I 'backed that up' with
my first flip on the next night
out . . .
In 1994 we won the NCRA 360
Sprint Championship and I
married long time girl friend
Kim Burkham.

In 1995, driving for Chris
Archer Motorsports, we won
the inaugural 360 Sprint race
at Thunderbird Speedway.

We also picked up 15
A-Feature wins that year, and
raced at Devil's Bowl and a
few other area 360 Sprint
Series events.
In 1996 and 1997 I drove the Chris Archer
Motorsports  #99 sprint car and raced weekly
at Devil's Bowl Speedway.

Then in November of 1997 we added a new
member to the family, Mackenzie Dawn Ramey.

It was at that time we bought the #99 Sprint
from Chris Archer Motorsports.
At the start of the 1998
season, I was now driving
for Kim and Mackenzie.

We changed the car number
to 7M (for Mackenzie) and
went on to win the points
championship at The Devil's
Bowl Speedway.

1999, while driving for Kim
and Mackenzie, we added
another points
championship at Devil's
Bowl Speedway to our
record.

By the end of the 2000
season, I became the first
driver ever to win the points
championship three years
in a row, with yet another
Points championship at
Devil's Bowl Speedway.

In 2001 we ended up
winning the ASCS
Speedweek championship
along with about 15 feature
wins.
Then in 2002 we raced weekly at Devil's Bowl and raced some ASCS events.

At the end of 2002 I teamed up with Bill & Brian Harvill. We raced all season and picked up our first
ASCS Sooner Region title as well as winning some ASCS National tour events.

At the end of 2003 I teamed up with Tom Willis and Ray Williams in the 39 car.

That allowed me to team up with Bobby Huddleston as crew chief and Porky (who helped Skip Wilson
for years) as dedicated car chief. These two individuals are still a huge part of our team today.

2004 ended up being a very
successful season. We
ended up winning the ASCS
Sooner Region points
championship for the
second year in a row.

It also gave car owners
Williams & Willis their first
Series wins.
2004, After a Gulf South Region ASCS win at
Heart of Texas Speedway in Waco.

We also raced some ASCS National Series events
throughout the season.
But what tops all of the
times I can ever remember
racing personally, is when
my daughter Mackenzie
became old enough to race
and won her first feature.

She started racing in the
caged kart division at
Cowtown Speedway
mid-season 2004 on Friday
nights. She picked up 4
feature wins, one second
place and one DNF in six
nights of racing.

Mackenzie decided to start
cheer leading at this point,
putting her racing career on
hold.

some additional pictures,

Here's another shot, at
speed, during Cowtown
Speedway ASCS action in
2004.
To cap off the off-season,
February 28, 2003, we also
added a new 'team
member,' our son Dylan.

Here we are at the track in
mid-2004.

Dylan is presently helping
Bobby with my car, and soon
will be old enough to start
racing in the caged kart
division at Cowtown. At that
time, Mackenzie is also
planning on resuming her
racing carrer.
We continued to do quite a
bit of traveling in 2005 and
just ran hit-and-miss shows,
without chasing points.

Here's a shot from I-30
Speedway, during the Short
Track Nationals.
And here's a picture from
action at the Devil's Bowl
Speedway in 2005.
After an ASCS feature win at
Oklahoma City in 2005. We
ended up with around 20
feature event wins.

So far in 2006, we've raced
as far away as East Bay
Raceway in Florida. We're
primarily running ASCS
events plus some weekly
shows at Cowtown.

We're also in the process of
building a new late model.
We're hoping to debut it at
Texas Motor Speedway this
fall. Stay tuned for more
information and pictures. . .
THANK YOU for taking the time to take this trip down
memory lane.

It's been an exciting trip so far, and I'm looking forward to
more excitement in the years to come.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the people who
have helped me along the way, and my family; all of which
have contributed to our team's successes.

Best of luck to you and please stop by to say HELLO the next
time you are at the race track!

Sincerely,
